Csaba Király's versatile art, extensive knowledge of various styles, and extraordinary performance capacity is also reflected in his achievements in contemporary music.

As a soloist, as well as chamber musician he has taken part in several modern music projects organized in different occasions, several Contemporary Music Festivals worldwide.

As soloist and chamber musician he has taken part in numerous worldwide contemporary music festivals and concerts. His name is linked with the Hungarian premieres and performances of the Piano Concertos of W. Lutoslawski (Hungarian premiere) and Gy. Ligeti. He had several premieres and performances worldwide from Gyorgy Kurtag’s solo and four hand pieces (the Games), the Double Concerto, the "Quasi una Fantasia" and also participated with famous contemporary ensembles in the first performances of Shamuel Beckett-Gyorgy Kurtág: "What is the Word?" in several countries.

He was awarded a diploma of distinction for the effort of playing  and
spreading Hungarian contemporary music.
